The majority of Notre Dame Catholic School students have consistently tested above the national norms on standardized tests. Approximately 99.0% of Notre Dame Catholic School's graduates pursue higher education, qualifying for admission at prestigious universities such as Duke, the University of Texas, Ohio State University, the University of Notre Dame, and the United States Military Academies.
- Religion Testing
The ACRE test is administered to Grades 5, 8, and 12.
- Standardized Testing
The Metropolitan Readiness Test (MRI) is administered to Grade 1 in September. The Stanford Achievement Test is administered to Grades 2 through 9 in September.
- Ability Testing
The Otis-Lennon Scholastic Ability Test (OLSAT) is administered to Grades 4 and 7 in September.
- Vocational Testing
The ASVAB Test is administered to Grade 11 in March.
- Special Testing
The Duke University Talent Identification Program is available for qualified students in Grade 7 in the Fall. The PLAN Test from ACT is administered to Grade 10 in October. The PSAT/NMSQT is administered to Grade 11 in October.
The Guidance and Counseling Office maintains registration/information packets for college admission testing (ACT and SAT) as well as the THEA, which must be taken before a student begins course work at any Texas state college or university.
